And you thought you’d be able to drool over Megan Thee Stallion and Charlie Puth in Frito-Lays’ Flamin’ Hot Super Bowl ad. The two teasers, one with Megan Thee Stallion and one with Charlie Puth, were elaborate teasers.
They contribute their voices only – Stallion to a bird, Puth to a fox. There are also a sloth, crocodile, deer and bear in the 60-second spot. And they’re grooving to Salt-N-Pepa’s 1980s dance-floor hit, Push It.
The commercial, which promotes Doritos’ and Cheetos’ Flamin’ Hot varieties was created by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and directed by Tom Kuntz.
Later this week, Frito-Lay will launch its Flamin’ Hot hub, a website offering recipes, merchandise, and the opportunity for fans to subscribe to news and promotions around the brands. It is also encouraging fans to spread the message on social media by inviting them to rate other Super Bowl ads during the game by using the “fire” emoji for the chance to win US$500.

“We’ve been so inspired by how fans have embraced Flamin’ Hot,” stated Rachel Ferdinando, senior vice president & chief marketing officer at Frito-Lay North America. “The Super Bowl provides the perfect stage to showcase the Flamin’ Hot flavour and attitude, and we are thrilled to partner with such exceptional musical talent to bring it to life. Music has a way of bringing joy, connecting us and delivering a story in such a unique way; so reimagining Push It with the help of Megan and Charlie will really allow our fans to unleash their Flamin’ Hot.”

Cheetos Flamin’ Hot has become a social media fave with more than 800,000 Tweet mentions over the last year.
