Asian humour continues to show the rest of adland how it’s done. The latest mad humour commercial is for CoCo Tea & Juice care of Gigil in the Philippines. It is built on a local searing summer saying, “Isara mo nga ‘yung pinto! Lalabas ‘yung aircon!”, that translates as, “Close the door! The AC will go out!” The humour is, once again, grounded in familiar local culture, exaggerating a common household warning, turning it into a humorous yet meaningful story about burnout.
The commercial takes the line literally. Air conditioners escape.
The spot was directed by Factory01 director, Un Wuthisak Anarnkaporn – imagining a world where Acs, the unsung heroes of Philippine summers, finally reach their breaking point. Overworked, overheated, and pushed beyond their limits, they don’t just cool spaces anymore. They walk out.

Taking the imaginative leap further, the film positions CoCo Tea as the ultimate refresher – not just for people, but even for the hardest-working machines of the season, giving them a break too. If the ACs themselves turn to CoCo to cool down, it’s proof that the drink truly delivers on its promise.
