McDonald’s Sprite has earned quite a reputation. Apparently is has a unique taste – like static – about which fans have been raving, turning the drink into a social media “icon” (sorry for the buzzword).
Agency, Golin Chicago, and McDonald’s have tapped into the trend, creating a song called Static with TikTok creator, Tisakorean that sings the praises of the drink. The song gives McDonald’s access to Tisakorean’s 7.5 million TikTok followers and as his creations usually go viral, there’s every chance this one will too.
“My go-to drink at McDonald’s has always been Sprite—it gives you that electrifying taste that reminds you of static, which is why I was so excited when they came to me to create this track,” Tisakorean stated. “I wanted the ‘Static’ beat to give people that same feeling and use actual static sounds all throughout the track. Lately, I’ve been inspired by the 2000s, so I used 909 kick drums to hype up that electric, snappy type of feel.”
