Hannah Jones has been appointed chief executive officer of media agency, Sparro by Brainlabs and creative agency, Jack Nimble.
Jones has been a cornerstone of the business for nearly a decade. Her appointment is considered to be a natural progression for a leader who has helped build one of Australia’s most respected independent media and creative offerings. She has played a pivotal role in defining Sparro’s identity as a high‑performance, full-service media agency grounded in transparency, and a people‑first culture.
Under Jones’ leadership, the business has consistently been recognised not just for its impact and operational success, but for its industry-leading workplace culture. Sparro’s reputation as one of Australia’s best workplaces, particularly for women, is a direct reflection of Jones’ commitment to equity, opportunity and growth.
Jones has been recognised with several industry awards during her tenure including #6 Best Place to Work in Australia (100–999 employees), 2023, AdNews Digital Agency of the Year, 2023, B&T People & Culture Award — Winner 2020, 2022 and Finalist 2023 and MFA Awards Agency Talent & Culture (>100) — Finalist 2026.
Sparro by Brainlabs and Jack Nimble now manages more than $250 million in annual advertising spend, and a combined client roster that includes Spotify, NRMA, Sixt, Petbarn, Temple & Webster, Ralph Lauren, American Express, eBay, ASICS, Liquorland, AMP, and Destination NSW. The agency group represents a collective of over 130 people.
Jones joined Sparro nine years ago as a key account director, before she was promoted to group general manager and then managing director, including the agency’s acquisition by global media agency Brainlabs in 2024. During her career, she has worked in digital transformation businesses and in marketing roles including Webjet.
“Nine years ago, I walked into a business with massive ambition, and today, that ambition is stronger than ever. I am incredibly proud to lead our brilliant team into this next phase, supercharging our offering and continuing to build a workplace where our people can truly thrive,” Jones commented.
Sean Seamer, Global COO at Brainlabs, added, “Hannah has spent nine years building Sparro and Jack Nimble into one of the best agencies in Australia, and she’s earned this the hard way – through results, through culture, and through the trust of her team. She leads with the same ambition and discipline now that she did on day one, and that’s rare. I’m excited to see what she does with the full weight of Brainlabs behind her.”
