Christmas campaigns idealise the joy of reunions. OUIGO has broken the taboo. The company is highlighting the less visible side of returning home for the holidays – a journey filled with mixed emotions such as stress, nostalgia, and family pressures. Feelings that can turn a long-awaited moment into a true emotional challenge.
To support those facing going home with less than joy, Havas Creative and OUIGO are launching Felices Vueltas (Happy Returns). On December 17, 18, 22, and 23, renowned professional psychologists such as Patri Psicóloga and Alicia González, who have over 1.5 million followers together on social media, will join passengers aboard OUIGO trains travelling between Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, and Málaga. They will offer conversations and practical advice to make the journey home more pleasant and stress-free. All passengers travelling on these dates will be able to enjoy the experience. After purchasing their ticket, they will receive an email to register and book a time slot during their trip. Full details are available at https://www.ouigo.com/es/felices-vueltas.
The campaign stems from a survey conducted by OUIGO in collaboration with IPSOS Digital, asking “How does going home for Christmas really affect us?” The results revealed that 7 out of 10 Spaniards experience what the company has defined as the Homecoming Syndrome.
