Since Swedish director, Daniel Lundh, switched from agency life, he has established himself as one of the go-to directors for fresh, idiosyncratic, perfectly-observed comedic spots. And now, he has joined Haven’t You Done Well (HYDW) for commercial representation across Asia-Pacific
Lindh’s flair for balanced humour and striking design was born at creative hot-shops, ACNE and SNASK. After moving across to directing, his comedic prowess has been seen in acclaimed campaigns for Samsung, H&M, Klarna, Adidas, Tesco and most recently, Gravox.
“Daniel has built a reputation for brilliant character-driven comedy with a focus on close observation over punchlines,’’ stated Tom Rickard, executive producer & head of commercial at Haven’t You Done Well. ‘It’s a restrained, dry sensibility that Australian audiences are craving, having grown out of the rimshot ‘ba-dum ching’ comedy that has plagued the industry.’’
“I had a great time shooting recently in Australia. I didn’t know Australia had winter. I’m still not completely convinced it does.I also saw a dead kangaroo on the side of the road. It was the first kangaroo I’d ever seen, so technically quite a big moment for me. I also ate Ramen 5 times, which I now consider an Australian dish,’’ Daniel Lundh added.
