It’s summer-sillies time in Australia and agency, Hello, has placed RTD alcoholic drinks brand, Brookvale Union, right in the middle of that. With unashamed nonsense and a call to Keep the Nonsense Flowing.
The campaign launched with a hero film starring internet-famous ‘egg man’, Tommy Armour, and comedian, Lachy McIntyre, capturing all the frivolity and oddity of summer entertaining with a ridiculous version of tennis, an accordian player and a bloke in hot pink budgy smugglers.
Hello executive creative director, Dan Fryer, stated, “Sport and summer have always gone hand in hand. But you also need your hands to hold onto your Brookies. So this summer, Brookvale Union kept their famous brand of nonsense flowing by creating the world’s first hands-free tennis racquet. First stop: the backyard totem tennis arena. Second stop: the 2026 Australian Open.”
In addition to the master brand spots, the campaign includes behind-the-scenes content, talent cameos and an influencer spin-off series across TikTok and Meta.
The campaign also intends to take surprise and nonsense to the Australian Open, where Brookvale Union is the official Ginger Beer of the tournament.
