The Naked Gun’s irreverent humour spilled out into the real word, in a bizarre stunt by agency, Hello, and Paramount Pictures Australia to promote the launch of The Naked Gun with Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson.
Hello installed what initially appeared to be a standard portable toilet in Sydney’s busy Entertainment Quarter. However, the installation came with an unexpected twist. Once an unsuspecting participant entered and secured the latch, a large container was swiftly rolled over the exit door, housing a live police interrogation scene inspired by the film. Upon exiting, members of the public walked seamlessly into this staged world, effectively becoming unknowing participants in the interrogation.

The entire experience was captured on hidden cameras and published with talent approval in viral social formats. The stunt was amplified by influencers, Josh Mansour and Jad Nehmetalla, who were also lulled unaware into the prank environment.
The content travelled globally reaching audiences and gaining traction in the UK and US, proving that Naked Gun’s irreverent humour has cross-generational and international appeal.
Hello’s involvement included creative ideation, event activation, social storytelling, talent management, and on-the-ground production. a chaotic prank that echoed the film’s humour and drove real-world buzz.
Sam Kelly, managing director at Hello, stated “We wanted to bring the humour of The Naked Gun off the screen and into everyday life. Dropping Aussies into an interrogation straight from a dodgy portaloo was the kind of unexpected, ridiculous moment that gets people laughing and sharing.
