Parker J Patterson is a find. The Pizza Hut ambassador’s flair for comedy has been enhancing the wit that Iris has been injecting into its product feature commercials since 2019; turning product ads into sparkling entertainment. Now he stars – in five roles – in Iris’ early Christmas commercial for the chain. The Parker J Patterson “community choir” presents The 55 Days of Christmas Pizza, giving one pizza variant (the Christmas Pizza contains sage and onion stuffing, rotisserie chicken, bacon and a red wine gravy) star quality.

Iris’ Dickensian Christmas Carol spot is running online in the UK with the premise that while the nation loves Christmas food, for reasons unfathomable, Christmas pizzas are never the first thing that spring to mind when the season begins. Pizza Hut has decided to put this right, by kicking off Christmas early and standing out with its unique Christmas pizza carol.
Shaun Mcilrath, chief creative officer at Iris, commented, “For most of the nation, Christmas is no longer just a day, few days or even a week – every year the lead up gets longer and longer. We decided to lean into this quirk and get in there early with our tongue-in-cheek celebration of Pizza Hut’s new Christmas pizza.”
The film will run online via YouTube and Twitch from November 9 through to January 1, with a digital audio ad also running on Spotify and Dax. The campaign is part of the brand’s Now That’s Delivering platform, created by Iris in 2018.
