The Martin Agency has made an untraditional promotion. Its chief creative officer, Danny Robinson, has become chief executive officer. It has also made a traditional promotion. Jerry Hoak moves up from executive creative director to chief creative officer. The move will not be immediate. During the transition period, Robinson will act as CEO-CCO. Robinson is taking on the leadership responsibilities from Kristen Cavallo, who had led The Martin Agency for the past six years and was named global CEO of sister agency, MullenLowe Group, 14 months ago.

Hoak joined the Martin Agency in 2016 as svp, group creative director, and has been a major contributor to agency growth, winning 18 new business pitches, with a nearly 90% win rate. He has led pitch teams that won major clients such as DoorDash, AB InBev, Carmax, Google and Papa Johns.
Hoak’s work was instrumental in The Martin Agency’s Adweek Agency of the Year wins in 2020 and 2021. He has been responsible for creative work of note such as Buffalo Wild Wings’ Jewel Stool, Door Dash’s #OpenForDelivery https://about.doordash.com/en-us/news/doordash-launches-openfordelivery-campaign-to-support-the-restaurant-industry and Busch Light’s Head for the Mountains Super Bowl spot starring Kenny G. He was also an early adopter of the agency’s Cultural Impact Lab.
Hoak rose to group creative director in his five years at Droga5, and also worked at Taxi and Ogilvy New York. At Droga5, he won a Titanium Lion for Prudential’s Challenge Lab, which helped people to imagine their future so they could plan accordingly, was named One of the 24 Most Creative People in Advertising by Business Insider, and created the films for Android’s Be Together, Not the Same campaign, Rock Paper Scissors and Friends Furever, that lit up the internet.
