Heart-tugging Christmas stories are usually fantasies, hoping to generate the same kindness, compassion and joy depicted within them. Klick Health’s Christmas story for Baraka Hospital is real. The Christmas gift in the story is real. The hospital is giving 1,600 free life-changing surgeries.
Over 15 years since first travelling to rural Kenya to help build Baraka Hospital, the agency went back to partner with the hospital and local healthcare professionals in helping provide access to 1,600 life-changing surgeries for people across the country’s Mara region. The partnership is the focus of the company’s just-released Many Hands holiday video, a story about the power of community.
Many Hands was filmed on location with soundtrack by Nairobi’s RedFourth Chorus and features Mara community members, who often face major barriers to receiving specialised care, as they travel to the hospital for surgery to restore their sight, mobility, and quality of life. There, two dozen patients are paired up with one of the 24 Klick team members (representing the company’s 1,600 employees and 1,600 surgeries provided in their names), who travel to the region to build meaningful connections and witness how mutual trust and collaboration can drive progress.

“When we announced that we would be offering free surgeries, we got thousands of requests. We have a lot of people who have major surgical cases, but due to financial constraints, they have not been able to undergo the surgeries to help them,” stated Carol Moraa, Kenya program director at Baraka Hospital. “We are going to be able to relieve some people of the burden they’ve been carrying for so many years.”
Klick co-founder and chairman, Leerom Segal, commented, “Sharing this story holds a very special place in our hearts. What started with the construction of Baraka Hospital in 2010 has grown into one of the most meaningful partnerships in our company’s history. We see how community-led solutions can create lasting impact, and we have deep gratitude to the hospital, medical teams, and community that have welcomed and taught us so much.”

Klick’s connection to the region dates back to 2004 with the building of Kisaruni High School and in 2010, Klicksters helped build Baraka Hospital, the first major medical hub in the area. Over the years, Klick has supported the expansion of surgical wards, maternal health programs, and essential services, extending access to care for thousands of families.
The company’s annual holiday videos, which also started in 2010, have inspired millions of people around the world with themes of connection, kindness, and joy. Klick has produced previous holiday videos in support of Make-A-Wish, Sesame Workshop, The Fred Rogers Center, Operation Warm, and other charities.
For every view of the video, Klick will donate US$1 to Baraka Hospital (up to $10,000). Viewers are also encouraged to donate via the QR code at the end of the video.
