For sixty years since 1959, Cornetto has been making actors pretend to fall in love over a Cornetto. For its 60th anniversary this year, Lola MullenLowe and Cornetto decided to help actors fall in love for real.
The new ad story began with a casting call. More than 100 actors applied to pretend to fall in love. They didn’t know that it was actually a matchmaking session. Cornetto asked each of them dozens of questions to find what they had in common and then used their answers to customise the entire production to help love happen.
What Lola MullenLowe and Cornetto made was a recorded history of how real love is born, and must – just must – have built a very nice bond between teens and Cornettos, who after all, live for love.
