Ben Stiller arrives at Katz’s Delicatessen in New York City for an interview with content creator, Nicolas Heller (aka New York Nico).
He’s dressed as Munkustrap (in a costume created by Severance costume designer, Sarah Edwards), because he thought he was filming a segment for the stage musical, Cats. The meeting goes downhill from there, full of misunderstandings, scratchy antagonism and uncomfortable humour. Try not to want to watch the entire three minutes.

It’s classic Stiller entertainment disguising a commercial for Stiller’s soft drink brand, Stiller’s Soda, produced by production company m ss ng p eces. The commercial announces the addition of new soft drink to the deli’s menu for the first time in decades – Stiller’s Soda Shirley Temple. It also underlines what makes the product stand out in a vast sea of soft drinks (apart from its must-watch advertising) – it’s low sugar and formulated to taste the way classic soda taste before the soda world went mad. The brand is fighting against a plethora of prebiotic, probiotic and functional soft drinks category by being “how soda is meant to taste – like soda.

Heller also directed the spot.
