Marcel Sydney’s founding client, Tiger Beer, has announced that it will shift its creative account from Marcel Sydney to Publicis Communications Singapore.
Venus Teoh, international brand director, Tiger Beer, commented, “The Tiger Beer global creative account has been successfully led by Marcel Sydney for a number of years. We thank them for the significant role they have played in the brand’s growth to date. However, as Tiger continues its expansion across Asia and beyond, now is a natural time to shift our agency relationship closer to the brand’s key markets in the region. Therefore this week the account will be relocated within Publicis Groupe to a newly created, dedicated team in Singapore, made up of talent from within Publicis Communications including Arcade and Digitas.”
Publicis Worldwide Australia has also lost its managing director. Gavin Levinsohn has resigned and is leaving the industry after twenty years. Levinsohn’s role covered Marcel Sydney and Publicis Brisbane Marcel Sydney managing director, Ryan Bernal, and executive creative director, Wes Hawes, will continue to lead the agency. Both report to Michael Rebelo, chief executive officer of Publicis Communications ANZ.
Levinsohn has been with Marcel since it launched at the beginning of 2016. Prior to Marcel, Levinsohn had been group managing director at Publicis Sydney since May 2015. Before Publicis, he had been chief executive officer of Moon Group in Australia since November 2013. He was managing director of Ogilvy Cape Town in his home country from November 2008 until he arrived in Australia in 2013.
Under Levinsohn’s reign, Marcel Sydney led the Tiger Ink campaign globally and reimagined OPSM in Australia.
