Even Ryan Reynolds’ agency, Maximum Effort, has dived into the musical commercial trend. Its new campaign for Match, also sidelines Satan – a sign that there is a new feeling about life with Covid waning, perhaps? Certainly, there is a new feeling for Match. And a new reason to join.
In the three-minute music video, Get Back to Love, Match implores singles to get out there so that wedding singers can get back to work. “We don’t get paid…if no love songs are played,” they sing.

The song was written by Grammy, Tony, and Oscar-winning songwriters Pasek and Paul [La La Land & The Greatest Showman], alongside songwriters, Taura Stinson and Shane McAnally.
The film was directed by Matt Eastin and produced by Harvey Mason Jr, president and chief executive of the Grammys. Mason Jr has written and produced songs for the Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Elton John and Beyonce.

It ends with a very simple call to action, Download Match.
“We’re currently in a culture-shifting moment for daters,” explained Match’s chief marketer, Ayesha Gilarde. “Singles are coming out of the pandemic feeling all kinds of different feelings. But one thing’s for sure, they’re ready to make up for lost time. We loved working with Ryan and Maximum Effort again to encourage everyone to get back to love.”

All of the singers featured in the tongue-in-cheek spot, Anna, LaVance Colley, Char Fletcher, Mo Hebert, Scotty Isaacs, Quentin Moore, Mr. Chris Norton, Francisco Ruiz, Meredith Snyder, Dave Vives, Kelly Wolfgramm, and “ZZ”, are available for hire and each is profiled on the Match Instagram page.

The full campaign is running across digital, social and streaming platforms.
