Birds Eye has upped the ante on bold comparative advertising. Agency, McCann London, has created a billboard for the brand that appears to be pasted over a KFC poster and asks people to ditch a bucket of chicken for its plant-based Green Cuisine dippers.
The campaign follows Birds Eye’s Green Cuisine brand relaunch in July that included a packaging and brand redesign and a campaign, Welcome to the Plant Age, that aims to overcome reticence in the UK to try plant-based food through the disarming honesty of children (and the softening blow of animation).
