McCann London has not had a good run with chief creative officers. Emiliano De Pietri is leaving after a year; he joined in February 2025. He replaced Lynsey Atkin, who was chief creative officer for just four months.
De Pietri had been global creative partner, global brands at McCann Madrid for four months before moving to London, and played a key role in McCann’s global wins for IKEA and Peroni in that role.
He had moved up from chief creative officer of McCann Spain, a role he held for three-and-a-half years.
And London wasn’t new territory. He is a true global creative with nearly eight years at Grey in London, New York and Colombia under his belt, as well as twelve years at Ogilvy Madrid earlier in his career.
He has won more than 50 Cannes Lions, including Grands Prix and the Glass Lion, as well as multiple awards from D&AD and the One Show.
