Directing/DOP duo, Tourist, are Filmgraphics’ new young guns. Their work ranges from an emotive story about life and play, told in the first person by a young boy with cancer for the Children’s Cancer Council, to an inviting explication about adventure for Ducati.
The duo has been added to Filmgraphics’ carefully curated roster of talent, that also includes VFX specialist, Bugsy Riverbank Steel; automotive and music video specialist, Daniel Börjesson, 2016 YDA winner, Thibaut Grevet; and acclaimed Australian commercial director, David Denneen, among others.
Mitch and Louis have a background in both writing and film, and this plays out in their ability to create the moments that imprint stories into hearts and minds. Plays out in their talent for striking, visual storytelling.
They are able to capture performances that enhance these stories whether real people or actors are cast. And they have a flair for embedding the triggers into their work that elicit human emotion.
Their work shows both maturity and freshness, a combination that has resulted in a portfolio that is diverse and surprising.
Anna Fawcett commented, “Tourist is unique in that they are a director/DOP team who create a visual style for every project. They are full of ideas, enthusiastic and bring their own special brand of energy to the eclectic talented Filmgraphics roster.”
