Another football season begins on Spain. How to rev up excitement in a new way that cuts through the clutter? Ogilvy Madrid has conquered the challenge for LaLiga, the association that manages the Spanish professional football competition. It borrowed the thrill of unboxing, using creativity to give it a fresh and inventive twist. It’s an unboxing done the way you play football – with your feet.

The agency sent the new Puma Orbita ball to more than 150 influencers from more than 70 countries. The ball was housed in a ball “box”. Influencers were invited to unbox it by kicking it.

The Kick Off LaLiga Santander activation has had a massive impact. “Just to understand the scope of the project, we made more than 250 shipments to 65 countries, reaching more than 150 influencers and achieving more than 650 million impressions, more than 336 million views, and almost 43 million interactions,” stated Ogivly Madrid creative director, Patricia Medeiros.
