Star creative directors, Yann-Gael Cobigo and Thibault Michal, have arrived at Ogilvy Paris. They will be responsible for overseeing several key accounts, to help the agency shine creatively both in France and internationally.
They bring innovative flair and international experience from VMLY&R, Harbour Collective, BBH and VML London. The duo began their careers in Paris before moving to London ten years ago and have created multi-award-winning campaigns for top tier brands such as Audi, Apple, The Athletic and Heinz.
Over the past 5 years, they’ve challenged the perception of the elderly in British society for McCarthy&Stone, launched the first emergency number for the most stressed soccer fans during the World Cup for The Athletic; and, this holiday season for Coca-Cola, envisioned an entire city of Santas.
“We’re pleased to welcome Yann-Gael and Thibault to Ogilvy Paris. Their international experience and bold creativity are exactly what we need to continue offering our clients innovative and effective solutions,” stated Matthieu Elkaim, president and chief creative officer of Ogilvy Paris.
“After 10 years of making our London colleagues suffer through our French accent, joining the most international of the Parisian advertising agencies doesn’t actually feel like such a change, except now we need to tone down our acquired British accent when speaking native French. Ogilvy Paris is a great step forward for us after learning and doing so much in London with great people and great agencies. Our passion is to keep doing stand-out work and make the agency and the group shine everywhere in the world. Can’t thank Ogilvy enough for the opportunity,” Cobigo and Michal commented.
