Orangina has an eight year history of freaky ads that were often suggestive of freaky sex and avant-garde design that was always beautiful to look at. Orangina has positioned itself as the drink for impossibly stylish young things since 2007. It ran a gay-friendly ad in France in 2010, that was, in fact, quite tame for the brand, considering…
The provocative Orangina was created by Fred & Faird. Grey London won the business in October last year. Grey has kept Orangina freaky, but removed the freaky sex. It has also made Orangina grow up. Gorgeous design remains, but now its stylishness is elegant.
Grey’s first Orangina work for the UK is directed by Somesuch & Co’s Autumn de Wilde, best known for fashion films like the surreal short film series, The Postman Dreams for Prada and photography for artists like The White Stripes. The spot ends with the words, Life is flat unless you shake it, and the new slogan Cest Shook. (You need to shake Orangina before you drink it.)
The tune in the video is French pop song, J’adore ce flic.
