Swarovski is undergoing a revamp with New York brand agency, General Idea. There is a new logo and brand design, and a dreamlike film that establishes the brand in the world of fashion A-listers and positions it as an innovator.
Yes, the video is one of those fashion films that make mystery (as in what the hell is happening) an asset but Park Pictures director, Terence Neale, and the Swarovski products make this a fashion film worth watching and without question, impactful. It is exquisitely beautiful. The idea behind the film is the creation of the WonderLab, “a radically inclusive laboratory of creativity that invites the world to celebrate their individuality and partake in the wonder”. The film features Adwoa Aboah, Gwendoline Christie and Isla Johnston. Black Kite Studios was commissioned to create the visual effects.
The “new Swarovski” is making its debut under the leadership of creative director, Giovanna Engelbert. Included in the campaign is a series of portraits of a diverse cast of talent who break the boundaries of age, gender and race. The images were shot by Mikael Jansson.
