The mission of women’s political organisation, Ignite, is to get more women into political leadership positions.
To help Ignite do that, Pereira O’Dell has created a writing practice workbook that uses inspirational quotes 0f 10 female leaders as the words girls copy.
Through the Writing Our Rights campaign, girls will learn to write by copying the words of women like Hillary Clinton, Condoleeza Rice, Nancy Pelosi and Susan B. Anthony, learning at the same time to believe that they can be powerful individuals.
The pages have a perforated inner edge so that they can also be turned into posters and there is a page at the end for girls to write about their own inspirational words.
In the launch statement, Anne Moses, founder and president of Ignite, wrote, “We believe that the introduction to leadership at a young age is as fundamental as learning to write. We hope that these words from 10 of the most iconic female public figures in American history will teach girls that they are powerful and capable of becoming political leaders too.”
A limited edition of 11” x 14” professionally printed and bound workbooks are available as a gift to anyone who donates US$50 or more to Ignite. A PDF version is free to download.
