But the Posten Norge, the Norwegian postal service, notes that in the Norwegian translation of the Christmas Gospel from 1930 the decree from Emperor Augustus that ordered everyone to register in their home town was sent by courier.
So Posten Norge’s agency, Pol, has imagined an alternative story about Jesus’ parentage. One that also reminds Norwegians about Posten Norge’s role in Christmas 2019. The spot is guaranteed to get people talking. That’s no mean feat for an ad with all the competition at this time of year.
