Photography brand Polaroid is encouraging the public to reconsider using their phones in its latest outdoor campaign.
The global work shows images taken using the brand’s Flip camera alongside copy such as: “Real stories. Not stories & reels.” And: “No one on their deathbed ever said: I wish I’d spent more time on my phone.”

Polaroid is also creating a series of “phone-free walking tours” in Paris, Tokyo and London. Attendees will be asked to put away their phones and spend an hour using the Flip camera. At the end people can print one of their images as a postcard.
Polaroid is fighting for a comeback and it is using the movement away from digital to help. The Polaroid is going head-to-head with camera phones as “the ultimate instant camera for an analogue life”, with a new high-tech camera, Flip, and messages such as, “Real stories. Not stories & reels,” and, “No one on their deathbed ever said: I wish I’d spent more time on my phone,” in an in-house global OOH campaign. Not to mention an 80 year history of making cameras.
The camera takes high-quality shots at the click of a button with sonar autofocusing, a hyperfocal 4-lens system and Polaroid’s most powerful flash and scene analysis (warning you when your shots are over or underexposed).
“Polaroid reignites real-life experiences and the Flip and invites you to step away from screens to capture unfiltered moments—lived, not lost in algorithms,” the brand stated.
