Psembi Kinstan has been chief creative officer of DDB Melbourne through its absorption into Clemenger BBDO. He is leaving now to take up a creative leadership role at 72andSunny, Amsterdam.
It is not his first expat stint. Kinstan began his agency career at CHE Proximity and GPY&R in Melbourne but moved to London in 2014 to spend nearly five years as a creative director at Y&R London, and nearly four at BBH.
Kinstan joined DDB Melbourne in 2021 and was promoted to chief creative officer in November 2024, after contributing to new business wins of Coles (including the formation of DDB & OMD’s specialist Coles agency, Smith Street), Asahi CUB, Acciona, Movember, Mr Chen’s, Dabble, Funlabs, Agrifutures, Made by Dyslexia and Our Watch, and the growth of the agency to 100 staff.
Kinstan’s arrival follows 72andSunny launching a global creative collective led by fellow Australian expat, Justine Armour, that united its agencies in Los Angeles, New York, Amsterdam, and Sydney together with Forsman & Bodenfors’ Toronto and Singapore.
