Recreate great car movie action scenes. Rekindle your passion for cars and your love for Renault. Publicis Conseil and Renault are hoping that the two will come together through its series of miniature Renaults, some evocative print ad visuals and the line, Do try this at home.
The miniature cars, versions of the brand’s most famous models, R5, 4L, R12 Gordini and Twingo, are being sold at Renault’s online merchandising store, which opened in December 2021. The store also sells clothes, accessories, home décor, luggage and tech.
The three ads visuals have been borrowed from legendary action films and chase scenes such as the jumps and skids in Bullitt with Steve McQueen. Their settings are inspired by three great American cities, San Francisco for the R5 Turbo, Chicago for the R12 Gordini and New York City for the 4L, and each visual tells its own story and gives free rein to the imagination. The visuals were produced in full 3D by The Scope studio, in order to allow the miniatures to be scaled up to life-size.

The campaign line, Do try this at home, is an invitation to make the stories your own with the Renault miniatures, and is a nod to the references found in this type of stunt.
