Truth be told ‘70s porn is a parody in and of itself, buy Rethink NY and Doritos have made it even funnier. All the classic porn stereotyopes are there – the hunky plumber, come hither blonde bombshell, the slow voices oozing innuendos, seductive poses, the sultry music.
There’s also the non-‘70s allure of White Lotus sex symbol, Walton Goggins.

But there’s no sex. The 3.43-minute satire, directed by Smuggler’s Björn Rühmann, takes you to the edge over and over again before it bursts the steamy bubble. Sexy or not, plumber Goggins “knows how to handle his tools”, but he is only interested in fixing a leak under the kitchen sink.

A weird assortment of characters try to entice him to you know what. They all fail, hilariously. The film’s humour carries all the way through its last moments of faux credits and bloopers.
A Spicy, But Not Too Spicy Plumber promotes Doritos’ new flavours, Golden Sriracha, described as a “layered mix of tangy, sweet and subtly spicy notes without an overpowering burn”.
The social-first campaign began in real life with a premiere screening of the film for one night only at a VIP influencer event at New York City’s iconic Slipper Room, a theatre known for its origins as the birthplace of the city’s neo-burlesque and a run online across digital, social and out-of-home channels, supported by a takeover of New York City with billboards placed near Times Square and throughout the city.
