Rosa Paris shows what it does so well with another story that holds its viewers’ emotions in its hands. This time, the commercial is the agency’s first for new client, Foundation for Housing.
The commercial was created to create awareness of the Foundation’s work and make the public understand that the fight against inadequate housing is actually much broader than it seems. That a home is much more than just a roof over one’s head.
The Wait appears to tell the story of a woman who is applying for a job. It’s an ordinary situation relatable to everyone, evoking emotions such as nervousness and anticipation. The reveal, the emotional climax, is that the woman is being reunited with her child. By finding a home again, the woman regains her life.
The campaign raises awareness about the true scope of the fight against poor housing conditions by showing the unbearable without resorting to pity. It captures the raw, emotional reality of a seemingly ordinary situation, perfectly aligning with the Foundation’s intention to deliver a sincere and impactful message.
The Wait is running in cinemas, through traditional and digital billboards, as well as on the Foundation for Housing the Underprivileged’s platforms and social media channels.
