New York agency, Small, has created another big story for Italian supermarket, Esselunga. It follows, The Peach, that was launched in September, about a little girl trying to bring her separated mum and dad back together with a peach. The new TV campaign is the story of Carlo and Marta, and their friendship that endures over time, thanks to a walnut. Both everyday life stories are very rich in emotive power. The tagline, Your groceries are never just groceries, continues to be the foundation on which the narrative is built.
The Walnut was directed by the Rudi Rosenberg through Indiana Productions.

“With the second instalment of our story,” explained Roberto Selva, director of marketing and communication at Esselunga, “we wanted to portray a tale of friendship that withstands the passage of time and distance. We did this through a walnut, a symbolic fruit that aptly represents the concept of care.”
