Forget what you’ve thought (unkindly) about fashion advertising. Steve Madden’s Fall 2025 campaign is creatively clever.
It’s a four-part series of witty vignettes inspired by indie cinema in which shoes are the main character. The fun of eavesdropping on conversations in a café without being creepy.
The brand describes its campaign as, “Quick clever convos set against the background of a cool, gritty café. Think indie comedy meets fashion film with footwear always in focus. These bite-sized vignettes and stills keep the conversation going and prove one thing: Every One Has Something to Say About Shoes.”
Because who is wearing your brand matters in fashion, the videos feature a range of up-and-coming and established talent, including singer-songwriter Grace VanderWaal, who was signed by IMG Models at 13 after winning season 11of America’s Got Talent; Tanner Zagarino, Alana Morrison, Max Manticof, Ella Ballentine, Ruby Snowber, Faith Jaggernauth and Selina Yang.
