Chipotle Mexican Grill is going to the Super Bowl for the first time. Its commercial by Venables, Bell + Partners will run in the second quarter. Its 30-second commercial, Can a Burrito Change the World?, will make people think about the food in their mouth while they’re watching the game. The commercial speaks for responsible food production.
Fast food and food delivery ads make up a large portion of this year’s Super Bowl collection and Chipotle, Uber Eats, Door Dash and Little Caesars are all making Super Bowl debuts. 2020 was not an annus horribilis for either segment of the hospitality industry.
Chipotle’s Food with Integrity standards are helping to reduce carbon emissions, save water, and support local growers. The commercial ends with the statement, “How we grow our food is how we grow our future”.

On Super Bowl Sunday, Chipotle customers will be able to purchase food without an added delivery price. The company will also be donating US$1 from every delivery order on the app or website to the National Young Farmers Coalition.
