At the end of May, SuperHeroes launched a campaign for all-in-one creative toolkit, Envato, with a series of absurd films that put creators in chaos, each a metaphor for the growing complexity of modern creative work. With an ever-expanding ecosystem of platforms, subscriptions and tools to navigate, creatives can find themselves spending valuable time switching between tools, managing workflows and overcoming distractions. The campaign intended to show that Envato packs everything creators need in one single unified subscription to keep them in their zone.
Absurdity is fun to watch and easily remembered. But SuperHeroes wanted to prove Envato’s promise in the real world too. So it put creator, Max Kolo, into real life chaos in NYC with an almost impossible same day brief, to design a poster for medieval combat group, Gladiators NYC, a medieval combat group whose armored knights battle monthly in Central Park
The social film that follows Kolo’s journey from brief to final delivery. He races across New York with his workstation in tow. Along the way, he encounters a series of increasingly surreal distractions, from subway pole dancers to packs of dogs, but remains locked in on the task at hand.

Arriving at the battlefield, he completes the design from the middle of the action before presenting the finished work. Throughout the challenge, he used Envato’s all-in-one creative asset toolkit, including mock-up templates, fonts, stock assets and AI tools, to produce his design.
“The work that I create requires multiple creative assets, from graphics and stock photography to music and video,” Kolo commented. “Having everything in one place means I can spend more time on the creative side of the work. Ultimately the work is better because I’m fully immersed in what I’m doing without jumping between platforms.”

“Creatives don’t get to pause the brief when things get hard,” added Arlyn Panopio, head of brand and creative at Envato. “We put Max inside a medieval gladiator battle in New York to prove that. One asset toolkit, everything he needed, no time to waste. Max stayed in control and delivered. That’s what Envato is built for.”
“Life throws so much at you: NYC as a city does that, as does our industry,” noted Rogier Vijverberg, chief creative hero at SuperHeroes, “There are briefings, deadlines, all these tools with subscriptions. For creatives, it’s great to have one less distraction and Envato enables that with all the tools in one place where you need it most.”

So far, Kolo’s support of the campaign has amassed a combined reach of over 500,000 across platforms.
