Eating well can lower your risk of cancer. That’s a message Canadian cancer support organisation, Quebec Cancer Foundation, wants to get through. So TANK Worldwide has linked the message directly to the message that DOES attract attention – grocery discounts.
The campaign translates scientific evidence about the cancer risk reduction of certain foods into discounts on their packaging. The aim of Cancer Prevention Discounts is to encourage Canadians to make healthier food choices when shopping and understand the connection between dietary decisions and cancer risk based on solid scientific evidence.
Cancer Prevention Discounts is built on extensive research demonstrating that up to 40% of cancer cases are preventable through modifiable lifestyle factors – including evidence-based dietary choices, regular physical activity, and reduced environmental exposures.
Each package – spinach, red cabbage, tomatoes etc…carries a grocery discount as well as a short explanation of the cancer risk benefit of the food within.
