Carnival Cruise Line and mad-style leader, Guy Fieri, are taking the fashion industry term, “Cruise Collection”, very, very literally. They’ve created a fashion collection based on the weirdly specific rituals of actual cruisers, turning what people really do onboard into functional fashion features. And naturally, they’re debuting it during Paris Fashion Week…in Paris, Texas.
Carnival will stage a full runway show there on Saturday, October 3rd, livestreamed for anyone to watch on the brand’s TikTok and Instagram channels: no invite list, no velvet rope, and clothes made for having fun rather than sitting front row.
The campaign created by TBWA\Chiat\Day NY will live primarily through organic social, the livestream and earned media, supported by boosted teaser content.
Outfits are meticulously planned for different moments onboard and increasingly shared across social, while the global cruisewear market is expected to surpass US$15B by 2034. There’s some legit fashion talent behind the absurdity too, including the designer behind some of Shaboozey’s red-carpet looks and a bedazzler whose work has been worn by Sabrina Carpenter and Beyoncé.
The pieces in the collection include:
- The Boss Burger Chain: Bringing together the flavor of Guy’s Burger Joint and the Fun of Carnival, the Boss Burger Chain is a hand bedazzled stainless steel chain with matching Guy’s Burger Joint, Carnival funnel and Carnival Cruise ship charms.

- The Elegant Night Secret Sauce Suit: Faux snakeskin leather suit embroidered with Guy’s Pig & Anchor stitching on the back. Hidden inside is a secret sauce pocket that can fit a whole bottle of any Guy’s BBQ or hot sauces.

- Guy’s and Gal’s Ultimate Deck Fit: Lightweight material with a perfectly-sized pocket made to fit a Guy’s burger inside. Made with Carnival’s signature red stitching and Guy’s Burger Joint patches.

- The Lettuce Wrap Skirt and Scarf: Perhaps the freshest look in the entire line, the wrap is worn either as a skirt or head scarf, and was inspired by the DIY behavior of cruisers, who often use lettuce wraps as a way to create a low-carb version of their favorite cruising meals. A gold Carnival funnel ring clip ties the whole thing together.

- The Towelette Set: Matching jogger set made entirely from Carnival’s signature blue and red stripe towels. Made to handle splashes, a day at the Lido deck, or pool side lounging.

The campaign brings Carnival’s mission to make fun accessible to everyone into one of culture’s most exclusive spaces. Instead of asking for an invitation to Fashion Week, Carnival is creating one where everyone is invited – and where the clothes are designed around having fun.
“Fashion should be fun and inclusive. The modern-day cruise collection that major houses create today feels so far removed from what cruisers actually want. So, when we saw the opportunity to partner with style icon Guy Fieri and create a cruise collection for actual cruisers, we knew we could bring Carnival’s ethos of accessibility to the gatekept world of fashion. Hosting a LIVE runway show, we wanted to invite everyone to sit front row and be a part of Paris Fashion Week–even Paris, Texas,” statedReid Masimore, creative director, TBWA\Chiat\Day NY.
