More madness from Skittles and TBWA\Chiat\Day. This time to make Skittles new gummies stand out in the gummies craze. The campaign takes the gummies promise of softness to the weirdest and wildest level (mostly for Gen Z’s benefit it would seem) – via the soft pouch of a human kangaroo, a massage from jellyfish tentacles and a balloon dog wiping its bum across carpet.
The three films were directed by Carl Sundemo and produced by Epoch with no AI. Sundemo, known for his practical effects, had everything created in the real world. The kangaroo human was a large-scale puppet body with added prosthetics, arm puppeteers and an oversized furry pouch. Puppeteers also guided the doggie and sea creatures. Their rigs were removed in post.
The campaign is running in the US across linear, CTV, OLV, and social.
