TBWA\London has hired multi awarded, former BBC Creative executive creative director, Paul Jordan as executive creative director.
Jordan has been hired to help TBWA\London push its creative output to the next level while increasing the agency’s impact in the industry and the wider world. He brings significant creative leadership experience across top agencies such as Engine, WCRS and McGarryBowen.
Jordan will work close with and report to Andy Jex, TBWA\London chief creative officer, and will be client-facing as well as working on pitches and developing creative teams, specifically supporting and encouraging young and diverse talent into and within the agency.
The hiring is another in a string of industry-leading appointments by the agency as it looks to build and diversify its business, improve its offering for clients and disrupt the industry. His appointment follows that of Sandie Dilger as chief strategy officer in February 2022 and awarded producer, Melody Sylvester, as chief production officer in November 2022.
Prior to BBC Creative, Jordan was the executive creative director at Engine, WCRS and McGarryBowen. He has worked with major brands such as Honda, Branston, Anchor, adidas and Nike. His creative work includes the world’s first TV ad shot on a mobile, an hour-long TV programme for Nike and a string of famous campaigns for Honda. His awards cabinet includes four D&AD Yellow Pencils and four Cannes Gold Lions.
As a self-confessed extrovert, Jordan is eager to get to grips with all aspects of the agency and connect with everyone across the TBWA\ network, believing there is strength in exchanging ideas across all roles. He statedm “I have been a long term admirer of Andy Jex and the agency’s creative work. It’s a great opportunity to work alongside him and a diverse award-winning team. I’m eager to capture and share more of the creative magic TBWA\London is famously known for and add my own bold ideas into the mix.”
Andy Jex added, “Paul is an extremely talented and celebrated individual within the industry. As TBWA\London continues to grow, Paul’s energy and bold creative ideas will excel the agency creatively, and we are excited about the impact he will have on the agency, our clients and the industry as a whole. And we’re both from Edmonton – which is pretty rare in advertising.”
