Publicis Conseil has found an interesting distinction for Dacia as it releases new Sandero and Sandero Stepway with hybrid powertrains, making its entire range electrified – You don’t drive far every day, you drive every day. The Dacia positions itself as the car for real-life needs – everyday drives, from school to the bakery, stopping by the supermarket. Depending on the model, it can offer up to 1,500 km of range, allowing to drive with up to 40 days without refuelling.
The campaign stands out in a crowded room of car commercials promising outdoor adventures or cool city life, fitting into Dacia’s communication platform, cars for real life, for real people. It reminds people that a car is above all an everyday companion, one that is with us on the journeys we make each day.
The lead commercial, directed by Philippe Tempelman and produced by Phantasm, presents an imaginary world that is visually fascinating – amid spectacular landscapes, a school, a bakery, a cinema and even a supermarket appear, far from any urban setting. Suddenly, the perspective shifts.

The same school shot reappears, this time in the heart of a very real city. The viewer is brought back to their own everyday life. These places are not as far as they seem, they are part of daily journeys. The visual idea is underscored by an indie-rock reorchestration with British influences of Willie Nelson’s On the Road Again, produced by Start-Rec and performed by Max Baby, a leading figure in Paris’s emerging rock scene
