The Glue Society’s twenty-five years of defying conventions and producing ground-breaking communication art, film direction and experiential work has been noted by South by South West Festival in Austin. The collective has been picked to lead a session at SXSW Texas in March 2024.
The Glue Society will share its ideas with global creatives keen to learn about forward-focused experiences, leading a panel on the theme of experiential advertising and communication with Joe Staples, partner & chief creative officer, Mother USA and Shawn Lacy, partner & managing director, Biscuit Filmworks.
Their session, Experiential Pioneers: Lessons in Creating the Impossible, was chosen as part of the SXSW Panel Pickers program, where the attendees were able to choose the talks they were interested in seeing. The panel will explore the creative inspiration for bold thinking, how to get brand clients on board with doing something undefinable, and how to actually execute on a grand scale.
The March 11 sessions forms part of the Advertising & Brand Experience track, geared towards agencies and organisations that want to better understand new ways of connecting with their communities, while the full Festival runs from March 8 – 16, 2024.
The Glue Society team recently spoke at Ciclope Festival in Berlin and is similarly engaged in this year’s D&AD Festival in London in recognition of its 25 year anniversary.
The group has produced a limited-edition magazine featuring highlights from its 25 years. If you are yet to receive a copy, a few remain available. Get yours via hello@gluesociety.com.
