New Australian independent agency, Tightknit Studio, has had another new business win. Travel payments specialist, Mint Payments, has appointed Tightknit Studio as its lead strategic and creative partner as it accelerates global expansion, launching into the UK.
Founded in Sydney, Mint Payments is the leading travel payments provider in Australia and New Zealand, processing more than AUD $3.5bn annually across the travel sector. Earlier this month, the company announced its entry into the UK through a strategic partnership with The Travel Network Group, supporting over 1,100 travel businesses.
Tightknit Studio will partner with Mint across brand strategy, identity development, go-to-market planning and creative communications as the company scales internationally and competes in a rapidly evolving global travel-payments landscape.
Alex Teoh, CEO of Mint Payments, stated, “Mint is entering a pivotal phase as we expand our travel-payment solutions into new global markets. To succeed, we need a partner that brings strategic clarity, creative ambition and an ability to take technology to market in simple, compelling ways. Tightknit delivers that. Travel payments are highly complex, and the category is shifting fast. Tightknit’s combination of rigorous strategic thinking and creativity will be instrumental as we build a global brand.”
The global travel sector processes more than £75bn annually in the UK alone yet remains underserved by legacy financial-services providers. Mint changes the way money flows in the travel industry, working side by side with customers to simplify workflows, unlock growth and keep cash flow moving in rhythm with their business.
Lee Simpson, co-founder at Tightknit Studio, commented, “The opportunity to partner with Mint Payments at this milestone moment for the company is an exciting one. We look forward to helping make this business an Australian success story as it steps onto the global stage.”
Tightknit Studio was founded by former TBWA\Sydney CCO, Evan Roberts, and whiteGREY CEO, Lee Simpson, in September.
