US restaurant chain, Zaxby’s, is famous for its milkshakes. But they haven’t been available for the past 7 years. The brand is now re-introducing their cult item, but only in one city (for now) – Macon, Georgia. So Tombras teamed up with the city to create a tourism campaign starring the Mayor and other prominent Maconites for the city that’s just 1.5 hours south of capital, Atlanta, and waiting to be discovered.
Tombras’ tourism campaign features the milkshakes front and centre.
The full campaign includes the two online films, Sluurp and Macon Tourism, plus outdoor billboards, a website takeover of visitmacon.org, and digital/social content.

“It is pretty incredible that we brought an entire city together to lure tourists with milkshakes,” stated Avinash Baliga, executive creative director of Tombras. “Everyone was in on the joke, including the Mayor, and every person in the ad is a real Maconite. These milkshakes are a very compelling reason to ditch your Paris or Barcelona vacation plans and plan a trip to Macon, GA instead.”
