Uncommon Creative Studio continues to fill its London creative department with talent, adding Elliot Lee and Rory Peyton Jones as senior creatives from Saatchi & Saatchi. The new hires follow the appointments of three executive creative directors last year – Julie Matheny, ex-TBWA/Media Arts Lab; Mother & Droga5; Josh Tenser, ex-CALLING; and Albert Pukies, ex-Wieden+Kennedy.
Lee and Peyton Jones’ rise as creatives began when they met at advertising school, SCA 2.0. Together, their projects have been recognised by over 130 international award shows including the Cannes Lions Titanium (Dan Wieden Award), two Cannes Lions Grand Prix, and multiple Golds and Best of Discipline honours across Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clio, British Arrows, Eurobest and LIA. They’ve also been ranked the number one creative team in the world at Cannes Lions, recognising sustained creative excellence at the highest global level.
At McCann, Lee and Peyton Jones created global work for Xbox, delivering gaming-led ideas rooted in culture and entertainment, notably The Everyday Tactician for Football Manager and Xbox. They joined Saatchi & Saatchi mid-2024 to make multiple award-winning campaigns, including high-profile EE spots directed by Daniel Wolfe and Louis McCourt, launching EE’s Safer Sims initiative.
Alongside their commercial work, they also direct, with music and film projects earning industry recognition, including a UK Music Video Awards nomination. The duo also brings to Uncommon a like-minded focus on ideas that resonate beyond advertising. Their broader body of work includes socially impactful campaigns such as More Ball Games for London Sport and The Fatal Question for StreetDoctors.,
Nils Leonard, Uncommon co-founder, stated, “What excites us about Elliot and Rory isn’t just the scale of their talent, but the force of it. They’re makers – ferocious in their craft, ambitious in their thinking and driven by real conviction. That kind of energy is exactly what this studio is built on. We can’t wait to have them join.”
Lee and Peyton Jones added, “We’re always amazed at how Uncommon consistently creates brilliant work that somehow always feels like a reference point. We feel super privileged for the opportunity to be working across such legacy brands and can’t wait to get stuck into some briefs.”
