Uncommon Creative Studio has shown its flair for thinking differently again. It has co-created an initiative with H&M that offers free suit hire to men for job interviews.
The One / Second / Suit programme allows people to rent an H&M blue men’s suit for 24 hours at no cost, have it delivered by courier and return it after a job interview (within 24 hours – there is a late return fee of £50, which will be donated to charity).
The campaign launched in the UK will launch in the US on May 13. There’s no Australian date set – yet.
Uncommon’s campaign film captures the emotion behind the initiative. It’s a montage of young men on the morning before their interviews over which encouraging voice messages from their mothers play. Reminding young men of the importance of the H&M offer is the opening title, A first impression is made in less than one second.
The film was directed by Anonymous Content director, Mark Romanek, who is best known for making music videos and feature films.
The full campaign includes the H&M One Second Suit website, which gives young men tips on how to handle their job interview.
