Carlo Giannasca has begun the year as managing director of Frost*collective
Giannasca has been with the business since it began in 2005. He has led and grown the Urbanite team within the Collective into one of the world’s most recognised environmental design businesses, and worked on significant projects such as Barangaroo and Melbourne Quarter with Lendlease, Quay Quarter with AMP Capital, South Eveleigh with Mirvac, the Northern Beaches Hospital for CPB Contractors and the Sequis Tower in Jakarta.
He has also collaborated with architects such as Rogers Stirk Harbour, KPF, 3XN, Woods Bagot, BVN and Bates Smart in the transformation of Australia’s cities.
He will remain active within Urbanite as he transitions into his new role, eventually handing over the reins to Adam Longo, a qualified architect and project manager, who has over seven years’ experience at Frost*collective managing the delivery of projects across the commercial, health, education and hospitality sectors. Adam will become Head of Urbanite on July 1, 2020.
Giannasca stated, “I am excited to have this opportunity to manage Frost*collective and I’m looking forward to working more broadly across the entire business to ensure we achieve our goals and deliver on our objectives.”
He will work with Frost*collective, chief executive officer & executive creative director, Vince Frost, and the senior management team.
Vince Frost commented, “Carlo and I have worked together for 17 years and his steadiness, commitment and nurturing spirit make him the perfect person to take on this new role. Designing a better world starts with designing a better business and we want to structure our business to ensure we stay at the forefront of the Australian design industry. As a highly respected member of this industry with over 30 years’ experience, and an invaluable member of our team, I can’t think of anyone better than Carlo to take us forward into the new year and beyond.”
