In case you’re still confused about answering calls from unknown numbers and discount offers that are “too good to be true”, VML Thailand and Whoscall have a few words, No, No, No, No.

Those words come housed in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, sung by a choir that represents the power of community protection against scam tactics. The hero commercial, directed by Thay Littichai, also uses light as a metaphor for exposing scammer threats and creating safety, drawing inspiration from historical practices where communities would light torches together to search for dangers in darkness. The more light there is, the safer the community becomes.
The commercial tells its story through mobile phone flashlights that illuminate one by one as people begin signaling to each other, eventually becoming a light of collective vigilance and underlining the campaign concept that “when we work together, trust grows stronger.”
According to the Whoscall Report 2025, scams have become a part of daily life in Thailand. Based on a survey of 1,000 Thai respondents, 72% were exposed to scams, 60% fell victim, and total losses exceeded 115 billion baht (US$3,565,946,761). These figures point to a national trust crisis in everyday communication.
Manwoo Joo, CEO of TrustTech company, Gogolook (Thailand), said, “These figures are not just statistics, they reflect broken trust in our digital lives. At Whoscall, we believe innovation matters only when it restores that trust. That is why our renewed mission is fostering trust and safety in Thai society through innovation and people power.
The campaign supports an upgrade of Whoscall in Thailand into a comprehensive digital protection platform, enhanced with AI technology and powered by user participation, to form a nationwide partnership ecosystem that strengthens safety, and fosters sustainable business growth. Features include a stronger Caller ID; a new iOS Live Caller ID Plus; an all-in-one Scam Check feature that allows users to instantly verify calls, messages, and links; and an ID Security feature that helps users verify whether their phone number or email has ever been leaked, so they can take proactive steps to protect themselves before falling victim to scams.
To make protection more engaging, Whoscall is also introducing Whoscall Missions where users can earn points from every interaction, whether it is daily check-ins, friend referrals, or other simple activities. These points can then be redeemed for exclusive partner rewards or Whoscall Premium.
