In June this year, Dentsu acquired performance marketing agency, Scorch, in Australia. The network acquired Soap creative and a majority share of BWM in 2015. 50% of BWM.
It also acquired b-to-b creative agency Gyro in July and took a majority stake in US digital agency Merkle in August (estimated at US$1.5bn by The Wall Street Journal).
It has now acquired 100% of WiTH Collective in Australia for an undisclosed sum. The agency will remain an independent brand within the network.
WiTH Collective was founded in 2010 by Justin and Dominique Hind, who will remain in their current roles of chief executive officer and chief operations officer respectively for at least five years. They will now report to Dentsu Aegis Network ANZ chief executive officer, Simon Ryan.
The acquisition will give Dentsu a strong capabilities in data-led creative services and creative CRM.
WiTH Collective’s client list includes blue chip companies, Qantas, Fairfax Media and Optus. It was B&T’s Direct Marketing Agency of the Year in 2015, acknowledged in BRW’s Fast 100 Awards in 2015, Campaign Asia’s Digital Agency of the Year 2014 and ANZ Specialist Agency of the Year in 2014.
