WMcCann has hired Dani Ribeiro as the agency’s chief creative officer. She will arrive in mid -August. Ribei began her career as a copywriter in the city of Belo Horizonte fueled by a passion for the power of words and curiosity for people. She later moved to São Paulo, where she worked at TBWA, VMLY&R, Fischer and Santa Clara. She was responsible for the start-up of Fischer in Portugal, and later was creative director at Publicis Rio and Artplan, then returned to Publicis as executive creative director. She has worked on leading brands such as GSK/Haleon, Hershey’s, Heineken, P&G, Nestlé, Honda, L’Oréal, Vivo and Find, among others.
“It will be an honour to have Dani with us so we can build a new chapter by combining her successful career with creative ideas that bring tangible results to our clients,” stated André França, president of WMcCann.
She has earned all the right awards at Cannes Lions, The One Show, LIA Festival, Clio Awards, Effie, El Ojo de Iberoamerica and Professionals of the Year, and has been invited to judge in the biggest industry awards around the world such as Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, New York Festival and Effie Awards. In September, she will serve as jury president for the 48th Annual Creative Club.

She is a teacher in the Creative Leadership course at the Miami Ad School, part of the Board of Transcriativa/UNESCO SOST – which works to promote education, science and culture, based on UNESCO missions to Brazil, and an enthusiast and facilitator of acceleration programs for creative training.
