Cringe, Aussies. The promotional film, Holy Crocodile, is full of Australian clichés. But they’re there to make a point – they’re clichés. The campaign invites Europe to look past cork hats, surfboards and kangaroos to expect dynamic cinematic culture from Australia and New Zealand at the Down Under Film festival (DUFF) screenings in Copenhagen, Denmark 2-5 October and in Berlin, October 16-10.
The humorous film was created by Copenhagen independent creative agency, Worth Your While, featuring a series of Danes who misunderstand the premise of the Down Under Film Festival and attempt to master the elusive accent (“Crikey mate”), only to discover that you don’t actually need to be from Down Under to get in. It was co-written by Worth Your While with up-and-coming Danish director, Sebastian Lopez.
Mala Ghedia, festival co-director, Down Under Film Festival, stated, “Worth Your While has been the ideal creative partner to collaborate with. As a film festival, it made sense to work with a professional team who could capture the essence of our festival using the very medium of film that we celebrate. They absolutely nailed it.”

Tim Pashen, executive creative director & partner, Worth Your While, added, “After moving to Denmark, I never expected to be on set in the middle of Copenhagen Zoo, surrounded by kangaroos, with an actor saying, ‘So you want me to steal the Kangaroo?’. But there’s a first time for everything.”
