The Volvo Trucks live tests are back to show off the prowess of the Volvo’s powertrain with I-Shift Dual Clutch.
So Forsman & Bodenfors has pro paraglider, Guillaume Galvani, attached to a massive Volvo while it races up to a narrow mountain pass under a low-lying bridge on Croatia.
To keep the Galvani in the air, the truck had to keep up its speed regardless of the ups and downs of the road.
The Volvo Trucks live tests began when Volvo approached Forsman & Bodenfors in 2012 to manage the B2B campaign for its five new trucks, each of which had something spectacular about it. F&B declined. Volvo persisted.
The first video was released in the middle of 2012. Tightrope walker, Faith Dickey, was made to walk across a rope tied between two speeding trucks before the trucks went their separate ways through a two-lane tunnel to show off the stable progress on the road of the Volvo FH. All together, the Volvo Trucks live tests have generated more than 100 million views, very many of them due to the very famous Epic Split.
