It’s summer in the UK and almost every dining chain across the nation runs some version of Kids Eat Free. That was a problem for Pizza Hut. The offer is generous, commercially significant, but is effectively invisible, as it looks identical wherever a family sees it. There is no distinction between one restaurant to another.
But Among Equals saw an opportunity. What if your kids are baby goats? The agency’s Kids eat-free promo for Pizza hut began with a spoof film produced by Socialed, in which goat parents are stopped from tasking their kids into Pizza Hut.
Pizza Hut UK then escalated the misunderstanding, publishing an Official Goat Policy that set out, at length, exactly which kind of ‘kids’ qualify for its deal. The policy confirms that a goat remains a goat regardless of size, age, hairstyle, confidence level or choice of accessories, and clarifies that management accepts no responsibility for missing napkins subsequently discovered to have been eaten. Exceptions are not extended to emotional support goats, motivational goats, office goats, celebrity goats, influencer goats, pirate goats or detective goats.

The sanctuary partners include Buttercup Sanctuary, Cherry Tree Farm, Waulkmill Menagerie, Mayfields Animal Sanctuary and Blandford Animal Sanctuary. Vouchers are limited to the first 1,000 customers.
Finally, having formally excluded goats from the offer, Pizza Hut UK has now made good on the confusion and made up for the disappointment by donating to goat sanctuaries across the UK, also giving families free entry to participating sanctuaries and petting zoos alongside the Kids Eat Free offer, so that every kind of ‘kid’ can eat free after all.
Emily Jeffrey-Barrett, founder of Among Equals, stated, “Some of the best creativity comes from screwball connections that make no sense on paper — kids and kids, human and goat. But that’s exactly the point. Only certain brands have the licence to pull something like this off, and Pizza Hut is absolutely one of them. It’s a brand with genuine permission to be playful, and this campaign gives it every reason to remind everyone of that.”

Katie Adam, senior manager of integrated marketing at Pizza Hut UK, added, “Kids Eat Free is a brilliant offer, but it risks becoming invisible when everyone is saying the same thing. We wanted to transform an everyday value deal into a distinctive Pizza Hut brand moment — one that earns attention rather than simply buying it. Taking ‘kids’ literally gave us a playful, ownable idea that could live across social, PR and real-world experiences, while still delivering meaningful value for families.”

The campaign is the fourth campaign activation of 2026 by Among Equals for Pizza Hut UK, following on from What The Hut?!, a general OOH campaign, the relaunch of the Hut Rewards loyalty programme and The Hut’s Coming Home, a June campaign to promote Pizza Hut’s delivery services during one of the biggest global sporting events of the year.
Human Kids Eat Free runs in Pizza Hut restaurants across the UK throughout the school holidays. Human kids eat free until September 2 2026.
